“When we talk about feminism and women’s rights, we’re actually addressing men…” Malala Yousafzai shared on the platform of the World Economic Forum in the Swiss town of Davos.
The young activist needs little introduction. At age 15 Malala became the symbol of girls education worldwide 5 years ago when she survived an attempted assignation for defying the Taliban ban on girl’s education in her country of origin Pakistan. Malala’s message on a global platform or the World Economic Forum challenging men’s accountable in the discourse of equality, is just one of the reasons I’m in awe of this her sassiness!
“Men have a big role to play…”
“We have to teach young boys how to be men… In order to be a man you have to recognise that all women and everyone around you have equal rights and that you are part of this movement for equality.”
*mic drop*!
