Let’s do Lunch: Istanbul Biennial director Bige Örer shares tips on making contacts in the art scene

The 14th edition of the Istanbul Biennial ‘Saltwater: A Theory of Thought Forms’ drafted by Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev and alliances, offers more than 1,500 selected works by over 80 participants from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and North America. Istanbul Biennial has engaged both local and international visitors since its opening week from the 5th September 2015.

During my visit to Istanbul last month, I took a break from the bazaars and tourist sights of the vast city, in exchange for the sites of the Biennial venues, going as far as taking a ferry to Princess Island where horse-drawn carriages still pass by undisturbed by cars. It was there I  interviewed Bige Örer at Hotel Splendid Palace for Artefact magazine… However I manage to get the Istanbul Biennial director to share some tips on making contacts for Let’s do Lunch – The Urban Guide readers!

Istanbul Biennial continues until 26th November 2015 at Istanbul Mordern. For more info visit bienal.iksv.org/en
